After the death of her father, Hannah becomes concerned about the strange behaviour of her mother, Ruth. When a mysterious stranger arrives at the funeral, Hannah embarks on a journey deep into her mother's past, in which she learns about the building on Rosenstrasse where the Jewish husbands of Aryan women were held during World War II.
