Absolutely awful. A poor remake of ANH and yet despite JJ's heavy criticism of the prequels and how he needed to wipe the slate clean he managed to copy the worse thing about the prequels into this movie, a whiney teenage confused force user *cough* Anankin *cough* Kylo Ren. Daisy has that horrible theatre school thing going on where she overacts every line. Somehow she was raised on a desert planet alone yet speaks the queens english, she can beat up multiple trained soldiers, fly and repair the M.Falcon better than Han or Chewie, can learn jedi mind tricks in 30 seconds and beat the snot out of a trained force user with at least a decade of training more than her. It's clearly aimed at the lowest common denominator as you have to discard all sense of logic to roll with it. This film has destroyed everything Star Wars was about. Respecting your elders, team work, family and friendship. Luke was saved in every episode of the original trilogy where as Rey don't need no man or anyone! it makes you wonder why she's gone to see Luke seeing as he had to run away from Kylo when she beat him up so easily. What can Luke possibly teach her? I guess she'll be training Luke? JJ you suck.

A solid film, well made and acted. Also very funny and not the child like, slapstick humour George Lucas put in the prequels, this is actually funny. The problem is, the film takes no risks. It doesn't tell a fresh story, they have repackaged the story of "New Hope", you would be forgiven in thinking it was a remake of New Hope instead of a fresh take on the franchise. All that said the story is well told and the characters are interesting. Looking forward to the next film.

Spoiler alert The begining is not suterbale for under eights but rest is fine don't understand. How Rey can fly the falcon but it must have reasons please explain. I expec⏱ted it to be better than the first ones as everyone talks about it. How can the emperial troops build a massive cannon/laser. I'm glad that it reveals how there is so many storm troopers. It definitely could have been better because of the technology but otherwise fantastic. Can't wait to see the last jedi and find out where Luke Skywalker is.
