Maya (Nadine Lustre) is a hopeless romantic. Since she was a kid, Maya's grandma always tells her that there's something mystical about the rain. And that when the rain falls while the sun is up, something against the heaven is happening-like the forbidden marriage of tikbalang (Werehorse). Maya thinks that whenever it rains, something bad will happen. Maya goes through three loves to find the true one. Heartbroken, neglected, and forever hopeful for the romance she yearns for, will Maya find her true love? Will the rain bring her great love or will it make her fear the rain forever?
