Based on the terrifying best-seller by Scott Smith, "The Ruins" follows a group of friends who become entangled in a brutal struggle for survival after visiting a remote archaeological dig in the Mexican jungle where they discover something deadly living among the ruins. "The Ruins" stars Jonathan Tucker ("Texas Chainsaw Massacre", "The Black Donnellys"), Jena Malone ("Pride and Prejudice", "Donnie Darko"), Shawn Ashmore ("X-Men: The Last Stand"), Laura Ramsey ("She's the Man") and Joe Anderson ("Across the Universe").

Ratings and reviews

Really well told and acted. I just recently read the novel that this movie is based on and I have to say, I was not disappointed. The scare factor is up in the highs and the way that the special effects works is great. I was terrified the whole time. Really good movie.

Some young adults go visit unfamiliar tombstone of avenging spirits of too some real&others non real. I myself would not be there at night alone or with any one.

The dumbest horror movie ever and I love horror Flims but this was the worst nothing was even remotely scary about this movie plz😒
