When the evil wizard Gargamel chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village, they tumble from their magical world and into ours -- in fact, smack dab in the middle of Central Park. Just three apples high and stuck in the Big Apple, the Smurfs must find a way to get back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down. 2 hours of my life - gone and all because I watched this horrid twist on the fun cartoon. Just bad. Seriously bad. Voices are horrible for anyone who has ever seen the 80's Smurfs. Why can't these movies ripped off from cartoons NOT be set in NY.

This movie ruins the great 80's classic of the smurfs. This movie has a horrible and boring story plot, horrible actors, and this movie did NOT even make a laugh. They tried to add a sentimental ending to the movie (the blue moon scene) and FAILED 110%.

But that doesn't mean it was great. I think there could have been a different take on the movie. Putting them in real life was a bad idea. Didn't work. Horrible story. Non funny humor.
