About this movie

Adapted from Jack London's beloved literary classic, The Call Of The Wild vividly brings to life the story of a big-hearted dog named Buck, and John Thornton (Harrison Ford), the man Buck must learn to trust. Abruptly uprooted from his pampered lifestyle in sunny California, Buck finds himself in the exotic wilds of the Alaskan Yukon. As the newest dog on a mail delivery sled team during the turbulent Gold Rush days of the 1890s, Buck has left behind a once comfortable life for one of hardship and survival. Life again changes dramatically for Buck when he meets Thornton, a loner-turned-adventurer, and it's clear that the two are destined to experience the adventure of a lifetime. Navigating through an environment that is as unforgiving as it is spectacular, the journey profoundly transforms both man and dog. With its unique blend of intense live action and cutting-edge animation, The Call Of The Wild is a visually stunning experience featuring realistic, emotionally authentic characters.

What a dumb movie! Apparently this guy adopted the world's smartest dog! The dog can't talk but it seems to be able to read minds and understand English perfectly. It was amusing at the beginning of the movie as the dog discovers the world around him but by the end of the movie it's just ridiculous. This dog is figuring things out and behaving better than most teenagers. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone over 8-years old.

Usually Rotten Tomatoes is a reasonable gauge, but how did this thing get more than 5%/! Congratulations if you can suffer through more than the first fifteen minutes of this thing. One star is too generous - what junk.

Saw in theatre, watched it on here and bought the full movie. I would watch it a million times over. Not going to lie, I haven't seen the book, but I dont even want to. The movie version is the only version I need. Its amazing, and it suits best in ages 10+ . I love it so much and was totally worth the money both in theatre and on the app store. If you dont watch this movie and cry, laugh and go "Awww" at least once, you have no soul. This movie is so well made. I give it 5 stars and deserves 10
