A criminal mastermind unleashes a twisted form of justice in SPIRAL, the terrifying new chapter from the book of SAW. Working in the shadow of his father, an esteemed police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), brash Detective Ezekiel "Zeke" Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city's gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer's morbid game.

Ratings and reviews

Spiral is absolutely DREADFUL in MANY ways. It ignores the events of Jigsaw and those characters don't even return after all of the effort they put into creating this protégé. Spiral isn't consistent. The main character, Chris Rock is annoying as hell. His acting style, the way he speaks (that sounds like he's shouting), his lame 'look at me I'm gangsta' jokes ALL suck. There's too few traps and deaths and too much racial stereotyping. Even the soundtrack is lame. £16 for a rental is criminal.

Not quite as good as the other SAW movies but as advertised, this is a spin-off so do watch the movie with a fresh mindset. All in all, it was good movie and still kept me on the edge of my seat. The ending was also a great twist

I love any saw series and Spiral traps but paying £16 for rent littlebit over board I am going to wait for dvd or blu Ray to come out
