John Parkes (Joseph K)
World War Z starts briskly and runs straight into utter tedium. Throw in a few skirmishes with some speedy zombies to break up the dross and you have a big budget/made for TV movie. The pace is off, the acting is distinctly average and the pay off doesn't convince. A poor excuse for a zombie movie, devoid of menace this is one to forget.

As an adventure/action movie with zombies (if you can call them that), it's not a bad film, but the source material is far superior. The film makers have changed/missed, or just ignored the concept of the novel completely. If you haven't read the book, I highly recommend it. I would love to see a proper adaption of the novel as a mini series in flash-backs as the book is told in interviews with the survivors of WWZ.

Not bad, but have a light hearted outlook when watching. Bought this on Blu-Ray for only a fiver. And for that, it was good. The Disc I have also has a digital copy included, so, bonus! You might not like this film, if you don't like Brad Pitt, however, get over that, and it's still interesting. It does fall down when it come to what people expect from ZOMBIES. If they were really like they are in the film, then we'd all be ******. Still, rent or buy, it's worth a watch, even if it's only while you're waiting for the fast food to turn up, and your main feature awaits your full attention.
