Peter Jackson's award-winning "The Lord of the Rings Trilogy" includes: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King. The Trilogy tells the story of a meek hobbit of The Shire and eight companions setting out on a journey to Mount Doom to destroy the One Ring and the dark lord Sauron.

Ratings and reviews

This isn't so much a review of the movie (I would probably give it a 4.5 star review), but rather this is more to bring attention to the fact you will only be getting the stereo soundtrack. If it had the surround sound mix, I would have probably given it a 4 or maybe even a 5 star review.

Why these movies can't touch Tolkien's literary masterpieces, mainly because of the medium being used & the pace required to keep audiences entertained. Peter Jackson did a wonderful job of bringing the world of Middle Earth to life, along with the entertainment value of the main story in the Lord of the Rings, even if it fails to touch all the allegory that Tolkien claimed he didn't put in his stories.

Great and a classic film series but the lack of surround sound loses the epic theatrics this version provides so it loses a star. I was tempted to only give it 3 stars so I hope Google Play rectifys this situation in the future
