I love this movie! I don't scare easy, my husband does -insidious had me cheering while he screamed like a girl and jumped in my lap... I'll always treasure that. The jarring sound effects & believable characters mixed with the eye-popping ear to ear grinning of the woman in the "further" holding the rifle she used to kill 3 entities on the couch is so vivid & campy... The demon hissing behind the head of the doubting father that makes his mother hysterical, it's horror without blood or violence, it works as a work of art.
Best horror flick since Mirrors Very Scary!! The ending was naturally terrible like most demonic type movies. This movie was exactly what this genre is though, and Insidious is very scary. I rate my movies based on how well I sleep after watching it. This movie caused some problems. Being real. Watch this movie not for it's cinematic experience but it's chill factor. Great movie. Highly recommended. Super scary.
Scariest Movie Ever!! I scare easily, but love scary movies.. Went to see this movie at night while 5 months preggars.. Afterwards, mate thought he was dropping me off to go hang out for a little while... SIKE!! I burst into tears and he had to cancel his outting.. I was terrified to the 10th power.. Took me almost 3 months to be able sleep in the dark again..
Had Potential Wow, I can't believe how LAME this movie is. It starts off alright, then it's as though the writers were like, "How should we end the movie? Let's make it original whatever we do." Well, it WAS original, but also super stupid.
Great!!! It was a couple years ago when i saw this trailer on TV in the middle of the night. Instantly i wanted to see it because i was creeped out just by the trailer. When i finally found a few friends who also wanted to see Insidious, we jumped on the opportunity to see it in theaters. This is the only movie that has EVER had me wondering if it was even going to be enjoyable because of how amazingly creepy it is. This is one of those movies that leave you wondering if the ghosts in the movie, followed you home.
SCARY MOVIE! CHILLS ME TO THE BONE! Awesome movie! One of the scariest movies I've seen lately! Very original. Lots of thrilling parts where you can't help but scream out loud and jump up out of fright! Great movie to watch with family! I don't recommend watching this alone. Too scary!
Wanted to blow my head off. Well made to scare you to death, you would probably feel more lucky to be some murderous schizophrenic locked up in the basement of some asylum. Movies like that are way too cultic and psychotic.
A review you can trust Great movie! One of the scariest movies I've seen. Pretty chilling. The reason I gave only 4 stars though was because the ending was a real let down. Starts to get boring the last fourth of the movie. But worth a rent, you will not be disappointed! I liked it a lot . (:
Horrifyingly scary. One of the best horror movies I'll seen in a long time. Leaves you on the very edge of your seat until a terrifying twist towards the end. If you haven't seen Insidious I advise you to definitely see it.
The Music Insidious is the best horror movie with the BEST creepiest songs and scenes! Especially "Tip Toe Through The Tulips" creeped me out in the scene when the dad is at the demons house! I love that movie
Scariest Horror Film Ever Made! I love horror films. You could almost say that I watch them exclusively. This movie was phenomenal. I will admit that I wasn't a big fan of the "further", but the horror aspect of the entire film and how well done it was more than makes up for. The "red face man" will stay with you for weeks!
Gotta see Insidious Chapter 2! Love this movie! Scary movies are my thing and this is definitely scary. If you like this one you have to see the 2nd one, it will answer all the questions you have at the end of the first.
Not scary at all And i scare easily!!idk what all the other reviewers ate talking about i didn't jump once.paranormal activity 4 was scarier.this one not so much.maybe they needed a bigger budget for better effects
:) Scary! Don't be stupid and watch it alone like I did. Hahahaha. This is a movie that definitely leaves you a little paranoid after watching it. I love horror movies and this is one of my top three favorites.

Good I m glad there are still filmakers n writers with imagination left. I was so sick of watching the same stories in different movies I pretty much gave up the last couple years. Between the new stuff on t v and some new twists to my favorite genre. I'm loving it.
It has some jumpy scenes. It's a worthwhile movie, but it is only a mildly different spin on subject matter that has become stale simply due to its overuse by other movies. It is an entertaining movie, especially if you don't put too much thought into it.
OMG OMG OMG I was freakin scared the whole movie!!! When it was all over I just sat there in horror, and my face was like :O :O :O. This is an epic horror movie though, MUST SEE THIS, I HOPE U SURVIVE TIL THE END I:3. seriously though, even the trailer was scary :I
Best Horror in last 2yrs. Although it is a low buget movie & sometimes the story seems eerily similar to part of the movie Poltergeist, it has nice story & nice actings. Rather than just being gruesome, it portrays human minds in a delicate light both love & fears.
Good This movie was ok but I wish someone out there would make a scary that would make me hold on to something for dear life and duck under the blanket when a really good scary part comes up. I haven't seen a really good scary movie in a very long time not since Jason, Michael Myers, and Freddy. Would someone out there please feed my hungry soul with the best scary movie ever thanks.
Go back to the beginning....in this chilling prequel that takes place before the unforgettable haunting of the Lambert family. When paranormal investigators Tucker and Specs team up with the psychic Elise to help a teenage girl contact her late mother, Elise is forced to venture back into The Further where she finds a ruthless supernatural entity craving the souls of the living. It's the darkest chapter yet in this spine-tingling portrayal of evil unleashed.
Before there was Amityville, there was Harrisville. The Conjuring tells the horrifying true story of Ed and Lorraine Warren, world renowned paranormal investigators, who were called to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse. Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives. Oscar® nominee Vera Farmiga (The Departed) and Golden Globe nominee Patrick Wilson (Insidious) play the investigators while Golden Globe nominee Ron Livingston (Band of Brothers) and Emmy® nominee Lili Taylor (Six Feet Under) play the Perron family plagued by sinister spirits in this dark chiller from the writers of The Reaping and the creator of the Saw films.
The supernatural thriller brings to the screen another real case from the files of renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. Reprising their roles, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.
True crime novelist Ellison Oswald (Ethan Hawke) is so desperate to repeat the success of his first book that he moves his family into a home that served as the setting of a brutal murder. But instead of inspiration, Ellison finds a box of mysterious home movies in the attic that seem to point to unspeakable terrors -- ones that could threaten his entire family.

Before The Conjuring, there was Annabelle. Capable of unspeakable evil, the actual Annabelle doll exists locked up in an occult museum in Connecticut -- visited only by a priest who blesses her twice a month. In this supernatural thriller from producer James Wan, Annabelle's story begins before the evil was unleashed. John Form (Ward Horton -- The Wolf of Wall Street) has found the perfect gift for his expectant wife, Mia (Annabelle Wallis -- X Men: First Class) -- a beautiful, rare vintage doll in a pure white wedding dress. But Mia's delight with Annabelle doesn't last long. On one horrific night, their home is invaded by members of a satanic cult, who violently attack the couple. Spilled blood and terror are not all they leave behind. The cultists have conjured an entity so malevolent that nothing they did will compare to the sinister conduit to the damned that is now...Annabelle.
