About this movie

Set in New York, House of D is the multilayered story of a man (David Duchovny) coming to terms with his past and present and resolving his relationships with the people who helped make him the man he's become. Along the way, he recalls the special bond he shared with a mentally challenged janitor (Robin Williams) who worked at the elementary school he attended.

Tommy Warshaw is a twelve year old Catholic School student whose best friend is a mentally challenged adult named Papass. Together Tommy and Papass deliver meat for a butcher shop in order to raise money to get a brand new bike. Although Tommy's relationship with his mom and Papass is challenged when Tommy begins to hang out with a girl named Melissa who is played by Robin Williams daughter Zelda. I watched this for Robin Williams but he's not the lead and that is okay because this is a good movie.

I just loved it. I can never figure the plot, but that's ok. The laughter and tears make up for it. The whole cast did just an amazing job, i wish this is one I could buy for my phone. Lost my DVD copy!
