The Inbetweeners 2 reunites Jay, Neil, Simon and Will for their latest critically acclaimed smash-hit comedy adventure. Having left school in the summer the boys have gone their separate ways, most noticeably Jay, who delights in telling the others via email that he is on a 'mental gap year' in the 'sex capital of the world' – Australia. Neil is desperate to see Jay, and Will and Simon are having such a miserable time at Uni they decide they might as well visit him to see what the fuss is about. Once in Oz, the boys discover Jay's tales of super-stardom in Sydney aren't quite true, but Will sees this as an opportunity to embark on a travelling experience, with cool people who are doing a gap year properly. What follows is an "hilarious" (The Sun) and "relentlessly funny" (The Times) romp through camp-fire singing, unintentional proposals, water-slide disgrace, dolphin feeding and a trip to the outback for some real travelling. Loved the tv show, loved the first movie found this extremely disappointing. It does seem like it was written by different people who didn't really get the original show. The originals were often extremely crude, riotously funny and occasional a little heart warming. The lads were mostly complete idiots, but they all had enough redeeming features that you couldn't really hate them. This film was crude, occasionally amusing and turned all the characters (both primary and others) into mean spirited utterly irredeemable, unlikable idiots. The ending of the first film was funny and upbeat, this film - it was just mean spirited and depressing. I keep using the phrase mean spirited, but really that phrase pretty much sums up this film in two words. As far as I'm concerned the Inbetweeners was 3 seasons and 1 film. Anything that came after that was just Will suffering a fever dream brought on by a dodgy curry.

This didn't feel like the inbetweeners at all, the "jokes" (if you can call them that) weren't funny at all, the characters felt like they had lost all there charm and... well character. The story was stupid and felt rushed even though it went on for ages, not to mention the horrendous ending. Sadly this seems like the bad stain on the franchise.

Loved the series and first movie. This felt like it was written by a completely different person. Completely cringey throughout, predictable, jokes for a ten year old. Turned it off after an hour
