The Google TV app is your new home for entertainment
Starting from September 2022, the Google TV app will be your home for buying, renting, and watching movies and shows on your Android mobile device or tablet. On the Google Play app, Movies & TV will no longer be available.
Where will your purchases go?
Your purchased content will continue to be available in the Google TV app. You can still use Play Credit and Play gift cards in the Google TV app and earn Play Points (where those features are available). Your purchases will continue to be available for family sharing.
Where can you buy movies & shows?
You can purchase movies & shows in the Google TV app just like you have in the Play Store.
