If you actually took Tai Chi, while the photo demonstrates flexibility, it defies the principles of Tai Chi. The knee should be over the foot at all times to avoid stretching the tendons. Tai Chi properly taught teaches proper body mechanics at the very least, and much more besides. Bad Tai Chi is just crap, useless in every way.
