About this show

While hunting one of Boston’s most notorious serial killers, FBI agent Emily Byrne (Stana Katic, Castle) disappears without a trace and is declared dead. Six years later, she is found in a cabin in the woods, barely alive, with no memory of what happened to her while she was in captivity. Returning home to learn that her husband (Patrick Heusinger) has remarried and her son is being raised by another woman, Emily soon finds herself implicated in a new series of murders.

The story has a very scary initial premise that develops into a disturbing thriller that was compelling viewing. The casting brings together a realistic portrait of an FBI office working with the Boston Police. Stana Katic as the central character plays an FBI agent and the victim that struggles mentally with the connections between reality and her memories. This is a very different role to the Kate Beckett character in Castle and she brings a great deal of authenticity to it.

A great performance from Katic, a strong start but then ruined by ludicrous plotting.
