As more Brids connect to the quantum computer, they grow more powerful and the computer becomes more self-aware. The combined brainpower is able to crunch unprecedented data and calculate the future. Some will use it toward evil ends.

Being a human-alien hybrid has its advantages in this new world order, and more humans try to join the hybrid network. The US launches an attack on the pervasive quantum computer Quincy in hopes that its own version can take Quincy's place.

When a direct assault on the quantum computer fails, the U.S. military tries to destroy the network by neutralizing the hybrid children with EMPs. Meanwhile, Quincy retrieves a mysterious box from the cloud of alien space trash still orbiting Earth.

6 The Time Machine

The quantum computer disseminated into the cloud just before it was destroyed, releasing unprecedented information into the world's computers. This leads to an incredible virtual reality simulator that predicts a massive comet heading straight for Earth.
