WWE® Superstar John Cena™, along with a brand-new group of mentors – Infantry Drill Sergeant with the U.S Army John Burk, a U.S. Marine Riki Long, an Ammunition Technician with the U.S. Marines Chloe Mondesir and Green Beret Grady Powell – welcome 17 competitors, who either lost their grit or never had it, to sunny Hampton Island, GA. There, the Cadre will hand-pick competitors to be on their teams and take them under their wings as they lead them through all-new team and individual challenges to help them find their grit. With something to prove and a quarter of a million dollars at stake, they must either wipe their tears and step up or “ring out” and go home.

WWE® Superstar John Cena ™ introduces the contestants and the cadres to their first team challenge, during which they quickly learn the hard way what personal sacrifice really means. After a close knit challenge, only one team will shine and be safe from elimination. The winning cadre leader will face a tough decision, choosing which three rival contestants will face off in the individual elimination challenge. Find out which team loses its first team member.

WWE ® Superstar John Cena ™ reveals the next team challenge that will test the competitor’s ability to trust. The cadre will be tasked with appointing a team captain, based on who they feel will best help lead their team to a victory. The captains will navigate their teams during a boat race, while their teammates are blindfolded, to prove they can work as a team. Back at the bunks, one contestant discloses the truth about who they really are, meanwhile Cena surprises one competitor with a heartfelt, off-site field trip. During the individual elimination challenge, the three rival contestants must race to keep their wheels turning to stay in the competition.

WWE® Superstar John Cena™ and The Cadre prepare the contestants for their next challenge that will test their teamwork, as they are tasked with a foot race in the muck, roped waist to waist. More important than speed, this challenge will test their ability to work together as a unit because the first team to cross the finish line still intact will be safe from elimination. The winning cadre leader will then select three competitors from the losing teams to face off in this week’s double elimination.
