A late spring means disaster for the men who make their living on America's rivers. Two friends on the Mississippi Delta risk sinking into the swamp, and an Alaskan chief battles his way over narrow mountain passes in search of food.

In the Mississippi Delta, Kip and Big Ward wrestle with a one-hundred pound alligator snapping turtle. In South Carolina, Ricky and son Chris are on the trail of dangerous feral hogsI. n Alaska, village chief PJ is on a "suicide run" after salmon.

3 Down and Dirty

In South Carolina, Ricky and son Chris lose a vital piece of equipment to the depths of the Pee Dee River. Kip and Big Ward find themselves stuck in a remote part of the Mississippi Delta. And in Wisconsin, a swollen Mississippi finds Mike unable to fish.

4 Broken Promises

In Alaska, PJ and Doug find themselves surrounded by grizzlies during a salmon run. Kip and Big Ward's airboat breaks down during a gator hunt. And on the Mississippi, Mike faces the start of snapping-turtle season alone when his partner injures himself.

5 Tipping Point

In Alaska, PJ competes against hungry predators for moose. Ricky and Chris struggle to float a massive tractor across the Pee Dee River. Kip is forced to leave Big Ward behind when they suffer an equipment failure in the middle of the Mississippi Delta.

6 On Thin Ice

In South Carolina, Ricky and Chris are after a feral hog that has left a trail of destruction behind it. In Alaska, PJ races against the approaching winter to make a final salmon catch. And Kip and Big Ward are forced to hunt for swamp alligators on foot.
