In the final season of Animal Kingdom, the Cody boys discover that they can’t outrun their past. With their empire expanding, a cold case investigation sets off a series of events that puts the entire family in jeopardy. Revenge, betrayal, and a reckoning with long forgotten violence leads to an explosive conclusion six seasons in the making. For the first episode of the season, Gia visits the Cody’s with a job opportunity. J schemes finances. Deran learns new renters are disrupting the neighborhood. Craig struggles with sobriety and co-parenting Nick under Renn’s monitored visitation.

2 Rise

J holds a family meeting, on the hunt for a new attorney. Against J’s wishes, Pope refuses to sell his vacant lot. Deran embraces his clout. Craig’s sobriety is challenged. In 1992, Smurf and Andrew meet with a lawyer to discuss the assault charges against Andrew. Julia struggles to be heard in a family that always sides with Smurf.

3 Pressure and Time

Deran and Pope search for Craig. J tries to sell Gia’s diamonds. Much to Smurf’s displeasure, Julia gets a job at the mall and Andrew embraces Church.

4 Inside Man

J gets to know the new attorney while Craig scouts a potential new job. Deran hangs out with a guy from out of town. Pope helps a kid at the skate park. In 1992, Baz visits Andrew’s Church.

The Cody’s prep for the next job in present day. A reluctant Andrew, Baz, and Julia do a job for Smurf in 92.

6 Diamonds Are Forever

The Cody’s stage a jewel robbery. Craig and Deran are at odds. In 1992, Julia and Baz spend more time together.

Pope prepares to see an old friend. Craig needs Deran’s help when Nick’s in trouble. J pursues Penny romantically. Andrew wants to be called Pope.

Deran and J consider a small job. Craig, Renn, and Nick spend the day together as a family. Pope senses something is off. Andrew finds out about Julia.

Pope is brought in for questioning. J, Deran, and Craig grapple with the truth. Julia tries to make amends with an upset Andrew.

Pope is sent to solitary confinement. Deran gets a visit from an old friend. J, Craig, and Deran decide what to do about Pope. Julia confronts Baz.

Pope offers information on a cold case in exchange for a prison transfer. Deran says goodbye to the bar, J makes plans with Penny, and Craig chooses Renn and Nick. Smurf learns Julia has been dishonest.

The Cody boys embark on their most dangerous job yet. Andrew commits the original sin that destroyed the family.

About this show

When 17-year-old Joshua "J" Cody moves in with his wild relatives in their California beach town, he is pulled into their life of indulgence and excess. But after "J" discovers that it's all being funded by criminal activities, it becomes clear that joining the family comes with more danger and excitement than he might be ready to handle.

This show packs in serious nudity and sex to over compensate for the lack of murder and true ruthlessness. The title refers more to our animalistic sexual nature more than anything. If they can manage to squeeze in more crime and violence....to balance out all the raunchy sex scenes.....they may just have themselves a hit. Overall, it's a solid show with solid actors. It has a lot of potential.

Oooo yea i loved this show but its been so long since the first season i completely forgot about it so much so i have no erge to watch season 2 anymore there was only 10 episodes in the first season which was over a year ago and still wont air till may30? Stupid..they obviously are trying to get this show canceled like perception/murder in the first, great shows but they took so long between season's that even hardcore fans got so sick of waiting, they grew to hate the show they love makes no sense whatsoever. .. ill give it at the most 1 more season and it's done! ..great job

Are you crazy making people wait till May 30th for season 2? Thats almost a year since season 1 ended. I liked the show but now im not gona watch it because by May 30th id have completely lost interest in this show do to being sick of watching the few 10 episodes of the tiny season 1.stupid . congratulations you just got this show canceled id bet a million that there will be no season 3 ...people dont want to wait for anything and you cant make an action packed show that gets people excited because that excitement goes away fast and then people dont care at all about this show it truly pisss them off especially with only 10 episodes ....once again a good show ruined by its network ?
