It was very entertaining to me when I was nine, I remember being excited for every Friday to watch every part. Also, when you leave it as a cliffhanger on the end of every episode that's when I knew I had to watch the other episodes and deciding to do that is very smart so you can have more people wanting to watch the entire series. It is a bit scary when you watch an episode for the first time but after that, it isn't so scary. The originality is very low because of the circus and clowns but the story is very unique and very original. I don't know if it was supposed to be the same as the first one because I haven't seen it but here's my rating and I recommend to continue with the idea of original stories so nobody loses their interest.

Same vibe as the original series. I loved that there were a few nods to the original. Just the right amount of "scare" for kids, but I also enjoyed it as an adult who watched the old series. I hope they make this an ongoing series because I think it would do well. There aren't many scary shows for kids and my nephews loved the old goosebumps series when it was on. Mr. Tophat could be a little creepier looking, and the parents not so clueless, but other than that I thought it was a major win for Nickelodeon to tackle a beloved show and not screw it up. A must watch for fans of the original.

As of this writing Google has deleted the 2019 series and replaced it with s2, which I purchased but is now even missing from my library. Hopefully someone realizes the mistake and fixes this, and add s1 back and restore purchases. Due to COVID it's pretty much impossible to get customer support from Google right now
