About this show

ASH VS EVIL DEAD is the long-awaited follow-up to the classic horror film franchise THE EVIL DEAD from original filmmakers Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, and Bruce Campbell and Craig DiGregorio. Campbell reprises his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons –personal and literal. Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its “Evil” grip.

So close to 5 stars but what's with that ending? It's Bruce, back as Ash and he's exactly how you'd picture him 30 years later. Direct continuation of Evil Dead 2 that appears to ignore Army of Darkness and instead borrows a few elements from it. It's 10 quick episodes of fan-service with a great cast, cool special effects (practical but enhanced with CGI) and a sweet soundtrack. It's just that ending... It's faithful to the character of Ash and I am looking forward to season 2 but it is the very definition of «falling flat». Sure hope season 2 redeems it! It's good to see you back together Sam and Bruce ^.^

Bringing this character back is cool. Bringing him to TV is amazing. While a fourth film could have been sweet. Changing the platform to tell evil dead stories allows different ways of creating adventures for everyone's favorite one handed chainsaw wielding, broomstick operating deadite killer. It allowed gives us more of it. More Ash is good. Hail to the king baby!

Goofy, gory, and fun as Hell. Some great music choices too. If you liked ED2 and Army of Darkness you'll have a hoot.
