The actors/esses in this series are amazing. You cringe at the relationship between these two characters and have a constant uncomfortable frown on your face. I am approaching the end of season 5 now (5 episodes remaining) but it just didn't HOOK me. Its interesting enough to watch through with a constant wondering of what happens next but I, unfortunately, found it very easy to put down. I could watch one episode a day or three without being in a dire need to rush back and watch the next one. If you're into a sick and twisted mind of the formative years of a serial killer though, this series is for you. But unfortunately, although interesting, for me was little more than average and won't be making it into the shopping basket :( PS: Don't watch this with kids in the room, its really not suitable.

A compelling series with superbly talented actors. The series plays with your heart strings and takes you on an emotional journey, flinging you back in forth in time between poignant moments and heart breaking tragedy. This brought tears to my eyes and the story was brilliantly portrayed by Freddie Highmore, Vera Farmiga and Max Thieriot. A little depressing at times and I wish it could have ended happily - but life isn't always that way. 5 out of 5 stars.
