The actors/esses in this series are amazing. You cringe at the relationship between these two characters and have a constant uncomfortable frown on your face. I am approaching the end of season 5 now (5 episodes remaining) but it just didn't HOOK me. Its interesting enough to watch through with a constant wondering of what happens next but I, unfortunately, found it very easy to put down. I could watch one episode a day or three without being in a dire need to rush back and watch the next one. If you're into a sick and twisted mind of the formative years of a serial killer though, this series is for you. But unfortunately, although interesting, for me was little more than average and won't be making it into the shopping basket :( PS: Don't watch this with kids in the room, its really not suitable.

Freddie Highmore gives an imperative and emotional performance throughout. I believe season 2 will bring more of this passion and portray Norman as more than just a boy. Overall, a riveting prelude of the classic film, Psycho.

What a series! Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga should both have had an EMMY for this! Brilliantly written, addictive and more plot twists, you actually feel sorry for Norman - and that's the biggest compliment I can pay it....
