They mean Canada. Because fewer American-dreaming people who go to California speak conversational English. So, like quite a few things, talent has been outsourced. And it shows. Canadians over-emote as 80s actors. Pretty much been going on for decades. Not a bad, "Americanized" version of the truly well-done British show.

Definitely better than the BBC version. BBC one was dullfest. This one the characters are more likeable, although Sally does get annoying at times. The wolves were cooler looking here, although the BBC wolves stayed closer to how lycans are depicted in most lores. Plus how can you not love Mark Pellegrino.

I was completely entranced by the first 2 seasons. It was complex, with backstory, relationships, and a good blend of comedy, drama, tragedy. Then it started to get darker and darker and I found that watching more than one episode at a time left me a bit depressed. But I'll still finish it — I need to follow their journey to the end.
