About this show

Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

Every bit as good as Breaking Bad and also superior in some aspects. We get a lot more insight into the background of Breaking Bad's most interesting characters like Jimmy (Saul Goodman) and Mike. Instead of Jesse Pinkman we have Nacho who gets caught between the ruthlessness of the cartels. The introduction of Lalo Salamanca, a charming but ruthless sociopath, in the 4th season is a game changer and makes for some of the greatest television one will see in seasons 4 through 6.

Decent show, just don't expect the gritty awesomeness of breaking bad...Saul is still a good show though with many familiar faces...you can enjoy this show even if you've never heard of breaking bad, as it takes place before the events of BB and has no real connection to those events. It does look like breaking bad though and its a top notch production.

Bob Odenkirk is great in this reprising his BB role as Jimmy McGill (who will become Saul Goodman). Like Walt, we are sure to see a transformation from best-laid plans and doing things for a good reason to sliding into slimeball lawyer territory/ adviser to criminal kingpins. BCS differerentiates itself from BB by being slightly less gritty, more comedic and more accessible but in a good way. It's a good thing people.
