About this show

BOB ABISHOLA is a love story about a middle-aged businessman who falls for his Nigerian cardiac nurse and sets his sights on winning her over. Bob runs his family’s highly competitive sock business and is the breadwinner for his family –– including mother Dottie, sister Christina, & younger brother Douglas. When the stress of the job lands him in the hospital, Bob meets Abishola, his kind, no-nonsense Nigerian nurse. At first, there’s a tremendous gulf between them. Now, all Bob needs to do is convince her to give him a chance – which will take some doing since they couldn’t be more different. After coming to America to find a better life for her and her son, Dele, Abishola lives in a small apartment with her super-protective relatives, Auntie Ola and Uncle Tunde. Undaunted by Abishola’s lack of initial interest or the difference between them, Bob is determined to win the woman’s heart that makes his own skip a beat.

It only took 1 episode to turn me off on this abomination. In the beginning, I had high expectations for this series. But, after the first episode with its anti African American utterance from said Nigerian American lead, had me on rewind to make sure I heard correctly. Apparently, this show works to push the divide between Africans and AfrAm. The sad part, some Africans unwittingly believe and push this lie about AfrAm. As for B♥️A, the jokes are stale and the show is an unfunny hot mess.

I always liked the lead actor from Mike and Molley time frame and of course the cast of African Actors and comedians (using some traditional language), how can you not LOVE this show...this show is completely AWESOME!! Of course having a African woman and a Caucasian man who is American may have been dicey for our divided, ethnocentric America; but, I think you all pulled it off!! If you are not judging and just enjoying two people and there differences come together and show some different cultural values and comedy, then like me you will really love this program!! I love it and can't wait for season three!!!

Surprisingly good! Typical “by the book” comedy with some pretty funny dialogue. The three women sitting at the cafeteria table talking is well done. Don’t know how Lorre got this idea or how he got it on the air. Don’t know how long they can drag the plot out, but so far, it’s light and funny to watch.
