The cast really sets this apart. That and the humour, though that's not to say it can't be intense at times. That the stories manage to stay fresh even after 5 seasons is testament, but it is the little character moments that really elevate this show. Also episode 23 of season 3 does appear if you watch/download episode 22. Weird.

Didn't think it'd be my thing until I started watching the pilot episode...that's it, I watched up to current episode then in two weeks. Every spare waking moment for two weeks. If you like sassy, silly, hilarious laugh out loud comedy but in a cop show with serious bits as well then you will love Castle. Funny the second, third, even sixth time round. What can I say, it hooked me. Can't wait for season 8 to resume!!!

Castle is a spectacular show based in New York with stories revolving around world famous mystery novelist Richard Castle, his family and his friends at the 12th precinct homicide department of the NYPD. This series is packed with everything you could wish for in a TV show from action and mystery to romance and comedy. Solving murder has never been so fun, I can guarentee there is some humour inside for everyone (be it innuendo; tounge in cheek or innocent fun). Great character development & terrific drama!
