Alec travels back in time to prevent Emily's death. Kiera must follow to prevent Alec from altering history in a way that could end her chances of returning home forever. But Alec quickly sets in motion ripples that affect everyone around him - including this new timeline's already-resident Alec. Kiera arrives just in time to discover "her" Alec - now sporting a nasty scar. He's standing over another Kiera. A dead Kiera. "Scar" Alec has some explaining to do.

While Kiera investigates her own murder and deals with two Alecs in one timeline, the mayor is kidnapped by a reunited Liber8. Carlos struggles with the reality shattering truth of Kiera's predicament.

Kiera has to solve a series of Liber8 connected bank heists, and discovers that the robbers are controlled by the recently escaped Lucas. Carlos's new and unwanted knowledge about time travel begins to affect his work. Alec discovers that Escher is his father and inherits Piron Corp.

As Kiera works to free a college student caught in a police coverup of a Kent Statestyle incident, her perspective on police behavior is thrown into question. Carlos discovers Liber8's influence reaches right inside of VPD, as Betty is exposed. Alec meets resistance to his takeover of Piron, and secures an unlikely ally in Dillon.

Kiera and Carlos work to free hostages including Dillon, taken prisoner by Liber8 at a TV Station. Meanwhile, Kellog and Alec's business alliance falls apart, turning the two men from partners to adversaries.

Kiera and an emotionally unravelling Carlos must stop Liber8 from committing a devastating chemical attack on the city. Meanwhile, Kiera finally decides one Alec has to go, and she delivers Scar Alec to the Freelancers.

It's 2074 - Kiera crash lands her CPS flyer during a prisoner transport and is forced to work with her enemy captive in order to survive. In present day, the mystery of Kiera's murder is solved when Alec finds a way to recover the recording of dead Kiera's final moments from her CMR.

Kiera's relationships are put to test when the identity of her killer is revealed. Julian puts himself in the limelight by exposing a corporation's dirty deeds. Alec deals with both the pressures of his new role at Piron and an uncomfortable truth revealed by Carlos.

Kiera, hindered by her tenuous relationships with both Carlos and Alec, pursues a group of brilliant students, who are using cutting-edge technology to commit crimes. Meanwhile, a handsome amnesiac known only as John Doe tracks Kiera down in an attempt to piece together his mysterious past. Alec crosses a line in his desire to perfect his new invention - and Kellogg worms his way back into Alec's good graces.

Kiera's developing relationship with the mysterious John Doe causes tension in her role with the Freelancers, and a change in her view of the world. Alec's newest invention is set to change the world, but questions are raised about its safety by a newly-lucid Jason. Carlos and Kiera join with Alec in finally putting the 'other her' to rest...but Kiera makes a discovery that turns her attitude toward Alec on its ear.

Kiera and John Doe confront the harsh realities of their relationship's origins while both are put in danger by a direct attack from Liber8. Meanwhile, family bonds are strengthened as Alec grapples with the fact that his new invention is responsible for Jason's increasingly strange behavior.

Kiera and John Doe work together to put an end to the Freelancers. Scar Alec is rescued from the Freelancer facility and reunited with Emily. Carlos puts an end to his free fall and brings balance back to Dillon and the VPD.

Kiera and Liber8 join forces to stop a power-hungry Alec and put a stop to the release of his dangerous new technology. Kiera and John Doe realize their relationship is doomed as forces push them to opposing sides in a larger conflict. Scar Alec sacrifices his hard-won desire for a simpler life, and deposes Alec from Piron, only to discover Kellog has been making his own game-changing moves. John Doe activates a beacon, his last test to see if his mission was a success and he and Kiera must deal with the outcome.
