Detective Aidan Black, a seasoned officer, transfers to the Psych Crimes and Crisis Unit after struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder. He finds himself at odds with his assigned psychiatrist Dr. Daniella Ridley. Black and Ridley soon find themselves forced to work together as a newly formed Psych Crimes Unit along with Poppy, a young cop cynical beyond her years and Leo, a compassionate psychiatric nurse. Together they combine police investigative skills and psychiatric insight to resolve crises and solve crimes.
