1 The Apple Doesn't Fall

It's not easy being the village GP in Portwenn as once again, Dr Martin Ellingham is the centre of calamity, drama and lingering gossip. Dr Martin Ellingham runs to the aid of headmistress Louisa Glasson when he sees her faint at school. Although Louisa insists she is okay, the doctor is concerned she may be anaemic and asks her to see him at his surgery.

2 Movement

Bert Large could be the man to put Portwenn on the culinary map. In a life changing decision he abandons his plumbing business to open his own restaurant. But as with Bert's previous enterprises, the new business venture is fraught with problems.

3 City Slickers

A family of city slickers seeking a new life by the sea look set to disrupt the tranquillity of Portwenn. Anthony and Terri Oakwood and their son Sam move in next door to Louisa Glasson having bought their house from recently widowed Mrs Averill. The family is somewhat unconventional in their lifestyle and their arrival upsets Louisa, Martin and the other locals.

4 The Admirer

Portwenn looks set to become a hotbed of passion. Louisa Glasson is furious to discover she has a rival for Dr Martin Ellingham's affections: glamorous divorcee and hotel owner, Carrie Wilson. Can Louisa contain her jealously and claim Martin as her man before Carrie's flirty tactics take effect?

5 The Holly Bears a Prickle

Will the course of true love run smooth for the star crossed couple Dr Martin Ellingham and school headmistress Louisa Glasson as they go on their first date?

6 Nowt So Queer

Portwenn is buzzing with the news of the engagement of Dr Martin Ellingham and headmistress Louisa Glasson. Aunt Joan is disappointed that she has to hear about the pending nuptials from village postman Dave, rather than from her own nephew. But she's pleased that the couple are together at long last.

7 Happily Ever After

14.5.08.

It's business as usual for Dr Martin Ellingham, even though it is his wedding day. He opens the surgery as normal to a stream of patients, including one of the bridesmaids.

Doc Martin stars Martin Clunes (Men Behaving Badly) as Doctor Martin Ellingham, a celebrated London surgeon who turns his back on city life and moves to a sleepy Cornish village to become the local doctor. Despite his surgical brilliance, Doc Martin has no interpersonal skills and his bedside manner soon starts to upset his new patients, causing havoc throughout the village. As the community becomes united in horror at their foul new GP, the good doctor soon finds he needs all the allies he can get as he tries to negotiate his way around village life with hilarious consequences!
