The Oakleys are back at the Reindeer Farm, but this time the herd is in rut and their raging hormones are making them aggressive and unruly. Dr. Oakley performs reconstructive surgery on a yearling reindeer that suffered a torn eyelid in the chaos, and later the team must wrangle some reindeer escapees back into a safe enclosure. In Haines, the team operates on a dog's shocking mass and helps a supersized cat with painfully matted fur.

Deep in the Costa Rican rainforest, Dr. Oakley tracks an animal essential to the biodiversity of the area, the elusive and endangered tapir. Later at Toucan Rescue Ranch, a group that rescues and rehabilitates wildlife, the team races to save a pregnant sloth after she was electrocuted. Dr. Oakley treats a Caracara with cancer, Sierra faces her fear of monkeys, and a group of animals is released back into the wild.

At a wildlife sanctuary in Costa Rica, the team races to perform a checkup on a pair of jaguars before they wake up. Elsa is a three-toed sloth that was rescued with a broken spine. Now, Dr. Oakley must determine if she's healed enough to be released back into the wild. The Oakley's work with local vets to help a black river turtle that swallowed a fishhook and treat a lump on a tayra's cheek.

The team investigates the mysterious reason a dog has been suffering from persistent nose bleeds. While tending to animals at the Kodiak Rodeo, Dr. Oakley is roped into competing with cowboys in a ribbon pulling contest. The team divides and conquers their caseload while treating the newest calves in the cattle herd on Woody Island. Later, Dr. Oakley treats a gagging cat and an aging bald eagle.
5 Last Stitch Effort

The team is saddened to see that Archer, the miracle dog that survived a fire, is back in the clinic after a dog bite left a gaping wound. Now, the tightness of his new skin will make it a challenge to close it up. Dr. Oakley determines the fertility of a beloved stallion and removes a growth on a sheep's ear. Later, the team treats an elk with hair loss and a tiny owl with a detached retina.
6 Like Herding Cats

The team travels to a remote Alaskan island where they're shocked to find that the feral cat population has exploded. Willow makes it her mission to find as many cats as she can to trap, neuter and release. A sick kitten is struggling to survive, and Maya works around the clock to nurse her back to health. The team helps a dog with painfully matted fur, treats rogue goats, and gives neglected dogs a second chance at a forever home.
7 Not My First Rodeo

Dr. Oakley joins a bona fide cattle roundup at Chris Flickinger's ranch, where she grabs a lasso and takes a shot at roping a calf. Dr. Oakley treats a horse with a painful rash on his leg and a dog that was kicked by a horse.

A bull returns from his pasture with a serious limp, and Dr. Oakley needs to determine if he's still capable of breeding. A cat comes into the clinic with an oozing lump that Dr. Oakley fears might be melanoma, and the team treats a musk ox that is struggling to walk.

Dr. Oakley is back at the AWCC, but the sanctuary's wily coyotes are notoriously difficult to capture. The short winter day creates a dwindling window to dart and treat the slippery duo. Next, the team meets a new farmer's herd to determine if a cherished cow's swollen hoof can be healed. Dr. Oakley vaccinates a jet-setting chihuahua and treats an elk with recurring hair loss.

A husky arrives at the clinic with a shocking problem, and the team gives a roadside pedicure to a pig.

The team meets a veteran that suffers from PTSD and the beloved therapy reindeer that never leaves his side. Dr. Oakley is in the line of fire after treating an affectionate bulldog with an ear infection, and an elk with a persistent wound receives care.

Dr. Oakley examines a pair of chickens that are struggling to walk, but fears that their debilitating illness may have spread to the entire flock. After two years without any new calves, a reindeer farm is desperate to determine if their cows are finally pregnant. The team treats a dog with a suspicious lump on his toenail, and Dr. Oakley works with a cow who loves to give hugs.
14 Your Mother's Footsteps

It's Sierra's last week before heading to Australia for vet school, and Dr. Oakley has found an unusual patient to help her prepare: a rare emu in the state of Alaska. A reindeer bull has a painfully cracked antler after getting into a scuffle, and an exuberant dog comes into the clinic with a bulging eye. The Oakleys tackle a last-minute emergency before bidding Sierra farewell.

Accompanied by her teenage daughters and armed with humor as sharp as a scalpel, Dr. Oakley deftly juggles being a full-time vet, wife, and mother, while taking us across some of the most rugged and remote landscapes in the world.
