ER was excellent until Sherry Springfield left. It was great until George Clooney (Doug Ross) left. It was still very good until Julianna M. (Carol Hathaway) left. Then it pretty much stunk with the addition of Dr. Kerry Weaver. Also the casting of in and out doctors and other cast members whose stays were so short, their characters were never developed. BTW, the entire series ran on a station called POP a few years back. If you have cable or satellite, go to the guide, search/autorecord.

This show had such an impact on my life growing up watching it as a teen and then a young adult. I love how it looks in HD, and I wish to God they would come out with a soundtrack album because the songs are just great! Battleflag by Lo Fidelity Allstars blood sugar sex Magik by the Red Hot Chili Peppers Short Skirt Long Jacket by Cake and the list goes on and on. Happy to be back in Cook County!

ER is a really good show all the way through from start to finish. That can be said about a very few shows. I even like the way they changed the cast (something not odd for shows over ten seasons not counting shows about a family etc). They added the new cast in slowly over a couple of seasons making the transition smoother, easier and more enjoyable; also a better slow phasing out of older cast. ER also had entertaining stories the whole way. There where hardly any dull episodes and not even the last season was dull. That would be something else that can't be often said about too many shows, especially with long term shows (over 5 seasons). Many shows start to get a bit dull with in the last few seasons.
