Ronald Craven, a Yorkshire policeman is investigating a union election scandal when his daughter Emma is shot and killed in front of him. Learning of his daughter's involvement in an ecological group Craven goes to London to investigate.

2 Into the Shadows

Craven goes to London to find out more about his daughter's murder and begins to realise the extent of her political involvement when shown files by Jedburgh, a CIA agent.

3 Burden of Proof

The police are closing in on their prime suspect for Emma's murder, but Craven's doubts about the motive for the killing become certainties. Meanwhile, Emma's boyfriend is found murdered.

4 Breakthrough

Craven confronts Emma's killer but is distraught when he is shot before he can reveal who hired him. Determined to gain access to Northmoor, Craven and Jedburgh hack into MI5's computer database in search of plans for the plant.

5 Northmoor

Jedburgh and Craven follow in Emma's fateful footsteps and enter Northmoor, unaware that security have already been alerted. Meanwhile, at the House of Commons inquiry IFF's Chief Executive is forced to admit the presence of plutonium at the plant.

6 Fusion

Jedburgh, armed with the stolen plutonium, heads for the international atomic energy conference in Scotland for a final confrontation with Grogan as Craven awaits the inevitable end.
