This was my favorite TV show when I was a kid-- I watched it every Wednesday night with my dad. Great memories. I loved the comaraderie of the characters. The girls weren't persnickety like on THE BRADY BUNCH and LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE. The kids generally got along and the parents were fair. Although neither of them appear in Season One, Abby and Jeremy were my favorites characters. I thought they were the most interesting of them all.

I love watching this show! It's interesting to see how much things have changed over the years, I am glad that I grew up in that era!! I wouldn't want to be growing up in this world now

I just watched the pilot episode of EIE. It was impressive to watch. Seeing the Bradfords dealing with their family issues reminds me that although things are different now than they were 40 years ago, some family issues are still the same today. RIP Dick Van Patten.
