Emma thinks she has figured out the mystery sender of Jane's laptop and convinces Frank Churchill that there is a scandal going on. Meanwhile Annie plays matchmaker, much to Emma's dismay.

Emma puts Annie's theory to the test to see if Alex and Jane really do have any chemistry. With the auction only a day away, Frank Churchill has to leave unexpectedly.

Emma wants to throw Annie a baby shower, but the company just landed a very big client: Boxx, an eco-friendly restaurant. While Harriet and Alex worry about how to deal with both events, Jane sees this as an opportunity for her aunt.

After Frank rescues her from a car accident, Harriet has a new crush, but Emma tries not to interfere this time. Frank comes to visit and he spills some information about the opening that could ruin the event.

Emma blames Maddy for telling Frank about the restaurant secret and Jane gets offended. Alex suspects Frank and Jane are hiding something, but Emma finds it ridiculous. Very busy with the restaurant opening, Emma has to work during Annie's baby shower.

Frank convinces Emma not to use Maddy's jams for the gift bags given at the restaurant opening. After the party, Emma must face the consequences of her bad actions.

After the events at Boxx, Emma realizes she may have hurt her friends. With Harriet's help, Emma decides to apologize to everybody, starting with Maddy Bates.

Annie reveals that Frank and Jane used to date and this proves Emma has been wrong about many things. Meanwhile, Emma is worried about Harriet's feelings for Frank.

After Harriet and Emma's revealing conversation things become awkward between the two friends. Meanwhile, Alex returns to the office.

Frank Churchill visits the office to make an official apology. Meanwhile, Emma helps Harriet plan the perfect proposal for Martin.
