The animation is fine for the time it came out, but I don't care for the actual models of the Fantastic Four themselves; the uniform designs, the Thing having a 4 literally painted on his chest, the anime haircuts, etc. It's not for me. Johnny Storm is also written to be a little *too* idiotic at times; even the Human Torch shouldn't be THIS dense, and it does the show a bit of a disservice because the scripts are otherwise really good. Yeah, those criticisms aside, this show is pretty darn good. The chemistry of the team is solid and the stories are just plain FUN, often adapted and modernized straight from the Jack Kirby/Stan Lee era of Marvel Comics.
