I'm writing this having seen up to Episode 8 on TV. So far, it's one of the best TV series of recent times. A sprinkling of references back to the movie are rewards for fans but don't interrupt enjoyment for newcomers. The casting is wonderful, with Billy Bob putting in a stellar performance: his character is at once utterly ruthless and abhorrent but also likeable... Allison Tolman is standout; a newcomer to watch in the future. Martin Freeman destroys any typecasting and plays his character in a way that leaves you shaken and unsure of what lies underneath. Colin Hanks shows himself a strong, independent actor with no need to lean on his father's fame.

The equal to Breaking Bad in my opinion, and better than the original Fargo motion picture. Amazing cast, and Billie Bob Thornton chews up every scene he's in.
