About this show

A sign of the apocalypse has begun. Reports of a rapidly changing world for unknown reasons underscore this gritty drama, a prequel to AMC's uber-popular "Walking Dead." The story is told through the lens of high school guidance counselor Madison Clark. The widowed mother is raising two children single-handedly and maintains a relationship with English teacher Travis Manawa, her apocalyptic partner. The challenge of blending their families is exacerbated by unforeseen chaos, and a necessary survival of the fittest takes hold.

The only thing to fear is the story writing. Massive plot holes and absolutely no character building with exception to the Nick and Daniel characters which were interesting enough however, they can't carry the show. Horrible story and asinine. Should have stopped after season one. Frank Dillane and Rubén Blades are great actors however, the rest of the cast (especially Alycia Debnam-Carey, Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, and Lorenzo James Henrie) are just painful to watch.

This episode has so far been my favorite FTWD yet. The ability of kirkman to chose actors that just steal scenes are so interesting and deep with only a few short lines. Everything is so perfect about them and the role they've been chosen for is brilliant and a joy to watch. I had to own this episode some way and its great that its part of the Google Play system which made it very easy. If the rest are as good as this I'll pay for every single one.

Google has repeatedly failed to upload new episodes, sometimes for several days (and once a full week) after an episode was out on TV. I will NOT be buying any season passes through Google Play again. So, so frustrating. It's currently 3 days after the season finale aired, and it's still not on the site. I'll find future seasons of this show and others elsewhere.
