On this episode of Ghost Hunters, TAPS travels to Hollywood, California to investigate the infamous Black Dahlia murder at the historic Sowden House. Aspiring actress Elizabeth Short was nicknamed "The Black Dahlia" after her brutal murder and the leading suspect of that horrific crime was never convicted. Two people have called in TAPS: the first being the main murder suspect's own son, Steve Hodel. The second is a woman who grew up in the Sowden House and experienced unexplained activity for many years. Could The Black Dahlia still be lingering in this renowned home or did the suspected murderer never leave?

The mission has been a fixture there for 236 years, and has many stories to tell. Some of these stories are unexplainable, so the members of the community have asked TAPS to investigate. TAPS will be given access to parts of the mission that no one, besides staff, has ever been granted. Josh Gates joins the team for this special investigation.

The owners have called TAPS to investigate and determine if the reports of heightened bizarre and unexplained occurrences are linked to recent renovations. They feel the spirits are opposed to changes being made to this decaying building, which could end up threatening their progress. Could the spirits of the former doctor, patients, and gravedigger be trying to hinder restorations being made to the only place they knew as '"home?"
