Ghost Hunters

Debbie receives a phone call from the Myrtles Plantation, and the team heads to New Orleans to investigate its various claims of paranormal activity. Jason and Grant meet Hester, a plantation employee. She relates to them the haunting tales that guests have reported, including: a wandering slave; seeing children's reflections in a mirror; a Confederate soldier by the pond; and the ghost of a murdered man who died on a staircase trying to reach his wife before he died. During the night, the team puts cameras in the most haunted areas of the plantation.

Cranston, R.I. - Debbie presents a case involving children Cody and Desiree, who allegedly woke up to something tugging their bed sheets and hurling toys around their room. Patricia, who lives with the children, shows Jason and Grant where a man hanged himself and reports hearing her door rattle in the night and seeing a man at the top of the stairs and at a window. Desiree tells Jason and Grant that a girl ghost wants to play with her. Jason and Grant help dig up bones in the barn and send them to the police to be analyzed. Grafton, Mass. - The second case involves a woman's experiences at her parents' house. Hayley, the witness, talks about cabinets opening, an apparition appearing in a doorframe, a Shakespeare bust moving on its own, and a female apparition shaking her mirror.

Grant gets a call from Pam at Southern Louisiana Ghost Hunters (SLGH), a part of the TAPS family. She tells him about Bruce, who can't bring dates home because a ghost acts up when he's with a woman. She asks the TAPS team to come to Louisiana to investigate. When the team arrives, they meet with Pam and Michelle, another investigator from SLGH. They explain that a jealous spirit, which has slammed doors and knocked things off the wall, got into bed with Bruce and pushed Pam, as well. On a different case, the TAPS team eats dinner at Brennan's restaurant, in the Red Room, aka "the haunted dining room." David Sledd tells them about the father who killed his wife and son and hanged himself by the chandelier; a 27-year-old man who died in his sleep after wearing a sheet at a party as a joke; and a construction worker who saw a woman at the window in the Chantelclair room. Jason and Grant decide to let the other TAPS members investigate Brennan's on their own.

Donna reminds Jason and Grant that Dustin and Jen need training. Jason suggests using the Mordecai House, the birthplace of Andrew Johnson, for a hands-on investigation experience. The team travels to the Mordecai House in Raleigh, N.C., where Jason and Grant meet Jim Hall and Dave Gurrey of Haunted North Carolina, part of the TAPS family. Chandra Millikin, museum educator, shows Jason and Grant the parlor, where a piano plays by itself, and the bathroom, where her hair was lifted off her head. Later, Jim and Dave tell Jason and Grant about the Battleship North Carolina. They decide to investigate it, so that Dustin and Jen will have another chance to train. Danny Bradshaw, the night watchman of the Battleship North Carolina, shows Jason and Grant around the ship and talks about his paranormal experiences. The team sets up to investigate for two nights.

Jason and Grant head to Connecticut to investigate the Bradley Playhouse. Pat Green, the theater manager, tells them that actors see a woman in the balcony, something reflected in glass flashing behind them onstage, and an entity appearing in a mirror when they check their costumes. Later, Brian Harnois tells Jason and Grant that he needs to take a personal break from TAPS. Jason and Grant tell the team about the Harris Firehouse, in Rhode Island. The firefighters have heard footsteps upstairs and seen apparitions at the ends of their beds. Jason and Grant are concerned because the firehouse might lose volunteers due to fear of the spirits.

Andy tells Jason and Grant that he wants to investigate the Ledge Lighthouse, after seeing a show in which Japanese paranormal investigators left crying by the end of their search. Jason talks about Ernie, the lighthouse keeper who started haunting the lighthouse after he threw himself to his death when his wife left him for the ferry captain. Later, the team heads to New York to investigate the Merchant's House Museum, one of the oldest brownstones in the city. Pi Gardiner, executive director of the museum, shows Jason and Grant a piano that people have heard playing from the street. Kerianne Biele, a museum volunteer, reveals that the piano can't be played because it needs to be restored. Pi then shows them a gasolier that shook back and forth during a tour, and the hallway where a woman in 19th-century clothing has been seen.

Jason and Grant tell the team about a case in Springfield, Mass., involving Denise and Joe Tanguay's son, Zachary, who has been yanked by his legs, poked in his feet and head and shaken in his bed while asleep. Denise gets nauseous when she goes to the basement. Jason thinks Denise's problem could be caused by carbon monoxide poisoning, so Steve suggests bringing a carbon monoxide-detection kit along. In the next case, Donna calls Jason and Grant while they're on a plumbing job and tells them about the Sutcliffe house, which the Warren Group had ranked off the charts in paranormal activity. Jason and Grant present the case to the team and introduce Jon Zappas, whose aunt investigated the house years ago. Jason, Grant and Jon tell the team about hearing footsteps and voices, and seeing entities, gray mists, black forms and doors opening there.

Andy tells Jason and Grant about the Astors' Beechwood Mansion in Newport, R.I., where a telephone repairman who was electrocuted haunts the basement and a woman with a yellow dress walks a spiral staircase. One employee, C.C. Ice, wants to quit because she's upset about the paranormal disturbances there. Then, at a TAPS staff meeting, Jason and Grant tell the team that Brian Harnois has left, and they want the others to keep an eye out for a replacement. Dave Tango and Ray Mennicucci of the Central New Jersey Paranormal Society ask Jason and Grant to help with one of their cases, in which a homeowner has experienced voices, bangings and objects being knocked over and moved. They head to the home of "Mrs. X" (the homeowner keeps her identity a secret so that her neighbors won't think she's crazy).

Jason and Grant introduce their team to Dave Tango, an investigator from New Jersey TAPS who wants to learn more about paranormal investigations. Together, they tell the team about the Worthington family, which has experienced paranormal events in their home. The Worthington's oldest son, Josh, was slapped in the face when listening to CDs; 14-year-old Nathan is afraid to sleep in his own bed, and the family has heard such disturbing phrases as "get out" being spoken. In the second case, the team heads to Rolling Hills, a former insane asylum in Bethany, N.Y., where there have been noises, phantom smells, people getting their hair tugged and a lot of EVP readings.

Jason gets an e-mail from a seventh-grade class that wants to know if TAPS will return to the Eastern State Penitentiary. He and Grant agree to return for another investigation. Ron Milione joins the team to use the case as a testing ground for new equipment he has developed for TAPS. After the team arrives, they set up the new equipment and recall the experiences they had here before. Jason remembers seeing black masks running from one hallway to another and in front of a camera. In the second investigation, Donna talks with Paula Ogden, a walk-in customer, about problems she and her boyfriend, Colin, have with the new house they bought. They noticed the radio turning on and off when it wasn't plugged in, and when Colin spent the night he woke up with cuts bleeding on his arm.

At the Winchester Mansion, Jason and Grant meet Cheryl Hamilton, the mansion's marketing coordinator, who shows them around the house. She tells them that Mrs. Winchester continued building the house 24 hours a day for 38 years because a psychic told her that if construction stopped, the spirits of people killed by the Winchester rifles would kill her. In the second investigation, the team gets a tour of the R.M.S. Queen Mary from Will Kayne, the Queen Mary's tour director, and tour guides Valerie Seale and Erika Frost. Erika mentions that she has seen a little girl in the ship's Royal Theater. Will says people in the swimming pool have reported seeing a little girl giggling and peeking around the pillars. They show the team a vortex in an aisle of the swimming pool dressing rooms. In Room B340, Erika reveals that a passenger was found dead in the bed and that housekeeping has reported that when they make up the bed it inexplicably gets pulled apart.

Jason and Grant tell the team that they're headed to Ohio to investigate the Mansfield Reformatory, the prison in which The Shawshank Redemption was filmed. The team meets Jan Urban, site coordinator, and Frank Horvath, a Reformatory Board member, who show them around the prison. They take the team to the visitation room, where orbs were caught on video; the area near solitary confinement, where Frank saw a black mist; and the steps, where the silhouette of a man has been seen. For the second case, the team heads to the Lizzie Borden House. Jason and Grant meet with Lee Ann Wilber, the owner; Ed Thibault, a tour guide; and Eleanor Thibault, the night manager, who show them around the house. They see the room where Abby Borden, Lizzie's mom, was murdered and where a cleaning lady quit after she saw an indentation of a body in the bed.

While Jason and Grant are on a plumbing job, Jason tells Grant about the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Ark. He explains that the hotel was once a fake cancer-treatment facility and because the basement was used as the morgue there's a lot of activity there, including a doctor who roams the hallways. The team heads down to Arkansas and checks in to the Crescent to start the investigation. They meet Jack Moyer, the hotel's general manager, and Ken Fugate, a local historian. Ken shows Jason and Grant the dining room, where a man named Jacob waits for a woman to come to breakfast; and the office of Dr. Ellis (who practiced there in the 1880s), where a man in Victorian clothing comes out of the elevator and walks straight through the door. During the team's investigation of the Crescent Hotel, Ken told Jason and Grant that there's paranormal activity in Dr. Ellis' house, and he asks them to investigate it, as well. The team meets with Carroll Heath, the homeowner, who also claims to be a medium.

Jason, Grant and the Ghost Hunters team are joined by an old colleague in their investigation of several reported "hot spots" in Savannah, Georgia. Investigations in the spooky city include a legendary cemetery that serves as the final resting place for Revolutionary War heroes and victims of the 1820 Yellow Fever epidemic..

Loud footsteps are frequently heard up and down the staircase, an apparition has appeared in the master bedroom, and a voice has been heard yelling "mommy". Their young daughter is so terrified that she refuses to step foot in the basement and does not feel comfortable anywhere in the home. Throughout the investigation Jason and Grant echo the tenants' overall feeling of uneasiness in the house, especially in the attic where both have a strong sensation of dizziness. While exploring the basement, Jason has a paranormal experience. Tension builds between Brian and Steve as Brian learns to deal with his new boss. The TAPS team then travels to Worcester, Massachusetts to investigate the Worcester Palladium, a historical theater that has had numerous accounts of unexplained phenomena. Stories of a mysterious ball of light have been witnessed floating across a backroom of the theater. In their investigation, Jason and Grant experience the same phenomenon, and spend many hours trying to find a reasonable explanation.

TAPS travels to Jason's hometown of Canandaigua, in upstate New York, to investigate two reported hauntings. A sinister force seems to be at work in the Leonard household. The homeowners have encountered various unsettling noises and events, including witnessing a full bodied apparition in their infant son's bedroom. Concern turned to panic when the homeowners discovered scratches on the back of their infant son's neck. TAPS arrives to uncover what is plaguing the home. Tension mounts within the TAPS group as Brian forgets a piece of vital equipment, causing problems during the investigation setup. Using their plumbing expertise, Jason and Grant try to debunk certain noises that consistently occur within the house. However, a strange noise is captured on TAPS audio equipment that cannot be explained. The Valentown Museum is the next stop for the TAPS team as they set out to explore the 128-year-old historic establishment. The museum director briefs Jason and Grant on the unexplained personal experiences that numerous visitors have encountered. Music is frequently heard in a massive storage room that used to be a ballroom. Legend has it that while dancing in the room, a couple was murdered by a jealous lover. The TAPS investigation goes smoothly until the wrap-up, when a foul-up puts their investigation in jeopardy.

TAPS answers an urgent call from a homeowner in Clinton, Massachusetts, who is being plagued by a disturbing spirit. Aided by Mike Dion, a member of the New England Paranormal Group, TAPS explores the home and immediately feels an uncomfortable presence throughout. Events escalate until Grant is knocked to his knees. Donna is visibly horrified by Grant's experience, but pushes on with the investigation to find out what other surprises the night may hold. The oldest library in Indiana is the next stop for TAPS as the team travels to the infamous Willard Library. During the extensive history of the library, there have been thousands of accounts of paranormal events. The majority of these experiences involve the famed Grey Lady, who is believed to be the spirit of Louise Carpenter, the daughter of the library's namesake, Willard Carpenter. TAPS is excited by its first library investigation, but even more so when members witness an eerie floating mist and strange shadows moving throughout the establishment. Within the TAPS group, Brian's return is still causing friction.

A frightened family in Glen Gardner, New Jersey calls TAPS for assistance from a menacing shadowy figure that is haunting their home. Hilary and Sean Hodgman have regularly witnessed mysterious black apparitions moving across their master bedroom. One such apparition took on a human form and actually made physical contact with Hilary. The Hodgmans are looking for answers, either through TAPS debunking their experiences or finding proof of the paranormal. Through their investigation, TAPS encounters a series of bizarre sensations and encounters in the home. The team even captures an audio recording of a voice which is heard saying "we are coming." TAPS next travels to the Hartford Conservatory in Connecticut for their first school investigation. Many students at the conservatory have reported hearing music playing late at night and seeing a woman wearing a brown Victorian dress wandering the otherwise empty corridors. As TAPS set up their equipment, Donna repeatedly hears a piano playing only to discover that the area around the instrument is deserted. The team experiences a number of equipment difficulties and breakdowns, which Grant suggests could be the result of something paranormal drawing in the nearby energy in order to physically manifest. Another incident occurs when TAPS member Dave Tango witnesses an orb after repeatedly provoking the woman in brown's spirit to appear.

TAPS travels to Florida to investigate the paranormal activities at the historical St. Augustine Lighthouse. Armed with some new equipment, the TAPS team investigates the numerous accounts of inexplicable voices, noises and apparitions that have been reported for decades. Steve must confront his fear of heights in order to investigate the towering lighthouse, which is one of the tallest in the country. Immediately after setting up, TAPS begins to experience all sorts of paranormal activity. Brian repeatedly hears the voice of a young girl saying "help me". Jason and Grant witness an apparition peering down on them from the spiral staircase above. Mysterious shadows are witnessed swiftly moving throughout the corridors. Because of all the activity, Brian announces that he can die a happy man. The various personal experiences are magnified when, upon analysis, the team discovers even more paranormal events captured on their equipment.

TAPS heads to Roselle Park, New Jersey to investigate an Italian restaurant that is being plagued by a deceased former owner. Current employees believe such incidents as stools being knocked over can be attributed to a former owner, Eda, who died decades earlier in the building. The TAPS team sets out to prove whether or not Eda still lingers on the premises. During the exploration of the restaurant, Jason and Grant capture a mysterious audio recording in which a young girl's voice can be heard saying "I'm staying here". An Old Jail in St. Augustine, Florida sets the stage for TAPS next investigation as the group explores a setting with a horrendous past. Throughout the historical establishment's 60 year history, many criminals met their fate at the end of a hangman's noose. The manager of The Old Jail believes the souls of these prisoners still remain behind the walls. Within the TAPS team, tension continues to mount as Steve confronts Brian about his lack of respect. Jason and Grant utilize their plumbing expertise to debunk certain incidents at the Old Jail, while having other strange encounters that defy explanation.

TAPS travels to Guthrie, Oklahoma to investigate The Stone Lion Inn, a bed and breakfast experiencing paranormal phenomena. A man dressed in Victorian attire has repeatedly been witnessed by visitors and employees of the former funeral parlor. TAPS teams up with members of a local Oklahoma paranormal group to explore the establishment. During the investigation, a number of disturbing audio recordings are captured, including the chilling voice of a child asking "can you find me?" At one point, during the still of the night, Grant even hears his own name being whispered. Then, a homeowner in New Bedford, Massachusetts calls upon TAPS to uncover the feeling of dread that is constantly present in his house. Ever since David Edgerly began renovating his home, a sense of misery has taken over his life. Mysterious shadows have been witnessed, and his friend Kathy believes the negative energy of the house is slowly killing David. TAPS sets out to determine the truth behind the claims and give David his life back. While investigating, the team picks up incredibly high EMF (electromagnetic frequencies) readings, which could indicate the presence of spirits. Jason and Grant also come across a number of alarming discoveries that could provide David with the knowledge to regain control of his home, and his life.
