After watching the first season and the first episode of season 2: The show is light hearted and enjoyable to watch. It has become better over time. If anything, they spend too much time on the "Red John", who is behind the God account, and not enough time doing what they do best, "solving cases", i.e. helping people. The gimmick has allowed them to weave together interesting plots and characters. It appears the producers of this show have some good stories left to tell. Season 1 review: This show is a fantasy which uses a gimmick to propel the plot. If you accept the gimmick, and enjoy the show, then it is a success. If you debate the gimmick or do not enjoy the show, it is not going to succeed. Much like "Early Edition", the plots use the gimmick to develop potentially interesting stories that people might enjoy. The casting is really good. Kudos to Joe Morton. I have found the plots at somewhat mixed levels of satisfaction. Does the overall plot have an agenda, and can they lead us there? I am not so sure.

They get all the tech stuff wrong. The main character lives way beyond what a pod caster would be able to afford. The girl hasn't written anything in how many weeks? Poorly written tripe.

I would have given this show five-stars if they didn't end it on a stupid cliffhanger like CBS Scorpion! It was that time period of where CBS was cancelling several good TV shows in favor of Big Brother and Love Island. This show had so much potential and CBS wasted it for stupid reality shows that they didn't do the research on!
