I love Lee Pace, computers, and historical fiction, so I was very excited for this. I was so confident I would like it for these reasons that I bought the entire season without hesitation, but the writing is so cliche and unoriginal that I couldn't bear to watch more than one episode. First scene: person who arrives late and cares least is actually the smartest. Then, the wife tells the guy to give up on his dreams, but once he says he will, she tells him to go for it! Seen it too many times before. =/

"Halt" manages to portray the world of Geek/Maker/Tech Entrepreneurs better than most. Technical details are relevant and mostly believable. Screens with code even contain valid 'C' syntax. Personal storylines can be tedious, but usually relate back the work anyway, such as an engineer dreaming about his circuit. Looking forward to this show's future.

In trying to add some interest to the task of building computers this series attempts to spice up the characters to make up for the lack of interest in the task at hand. Most characters are not believable, monotonous and sometimes morally despicable. I won't waste my time watching this utter garbage any more as Hollywood tries to infuse it's moral degrading nonsense to the audience.
