With a baby on the way, Sarah and Jack are desperate to move out of his parent's home. Joe's stroke recovery means Pauline has become the family's main breadwinner and she has taken a job as an estate agent. Unfortunately, due to her honesty, she's finding it hard to make a sale. However, Dot might just be able to solve all the family's problems.

Dot has been forced out of the old folks home and has moved back in with Pauline and Joe. At work, Pauline is being bullied by fellow estate agent Ralph, who revels in the fact that she doesn't have the ruthless streak needed to sell houses. And, when Jack finally gets the opportunity to clinch a proper book deal, he quickly discovers that it's not the story he intended to tell and Sarah is going to kill him!

Joe watches football in Pauline's sacred 'good room' whilst Dot invites some of her OAP friends around to party. Joe is showing romantic signs of recovery and Pauline's new cupcake business is on the up. Meanwhile, Sarah and Jack receive an unexpected visit from Sarah's dad Ben, who drops the bombshell that he's left his wife and needs a place to stay. In the studio, Gervaise is recording his debut album, but he isn't too pleased when girlfriend Vicky invites the handsome and talented Lindsay to help.
