Rod Cullins
When I was a kid, living in Virginia, and again after I got out of the Marine Corps, my friends and I used to spends weekends and vacations up in the Appalachians, either hiking the trail, or living off the land. We'd take a K-bar knife, fishing line, and compass (the ones on the knife weren't reliable), and spend days out there. Spencer and Eugene remind me of those days back in the hills: People we'd meet, the way they lived, and the kindness they showed me when I broke my ankle (wasn't crazy about the home remedy). Eugene could work for NASA, and Spencer is the personality of the show, and no slouch himself. Together, they make the best team on TV. This show is a must see for those who enjoy the simpler life, where phones, bills, traffic, and bosses don't exist. In short, it's Nirvana.
