Season 5 begins with Marty back on top - business is booming, and life is good. Marty and Jeannie navigate co-parenting and interacting with each other's new relationships. Doug and Clyde vie for position. A familiar face from the past approaches Marty with an intriguing offer.

Jeannie's boyfriend drops a bomb that could devastate her. Marty goes after potential new business at Doug's Dungeons and Dragons game. Clyde uncovers an issue that affects Jeannie.

After Jeannie's return to KandA, Marty and the Pod consult a company trying a new, unconventional management style. Doug wonders if there is a possibility of romance with KandA's newest client, and Clyde has an ill-timed breakup.

While competing with Monica for new business, Marty learns she's been offered a lucrative deal. Jeannie gets romantic with the client, despite his questionable past. Clyde is tapped to join a new venture, and Doug gets obsessive over the opportunity to give a Ted Talk.

Marty begrudgingly reunites with a couple of his most objectionable past clients in an attempt to expand the business of a major cruise line. Clyde gets in the way of Doug fulfilling his high-seas fantasy, and Jeannie gets emotional regarding her baby.

Marty's ingress into the black hair market on behalf of a client hits a surprising snag. Clyde's great hope for mayor has eyes for Jeannie. Roscoe lands his first modeling gig.

Marty strives to convince a couple of big-time, idealist marijuana growers to embrace a new idea. Doug finally delivers his much-anticipated Ted Talk.

Marty and the Pod bond with members of a boy band in an attempt to get them to re-sign with their record label. Jeannie gets fed up with being a politician's girlfriend. Doug deals with his post-Ted Talk fame, and the repercussions it has on his relationship.

Marty attempts to get KandA back into consideration for a buyout. Jeannie has a difficult time spending a day outside the office. Computer network issues lead to a discovery.

The Pod heads to Havana, Cuba. There, they are challenged to reevaluate their personal and professional futures.
