Howards End

A misunderstanding, a surprise visit and a stolen umbrella set into motion a series of events which unexpectedly intertwine the lives of the Schlegels, the Wilcoxes and the Basts.

After the death of Mrs. Wilcox in the winter of 1906 her family is further thrown by her final request. The Schlegels are given an eviction date for their house.

Margaret receives an offer from Henry which changes her plans and becomes more involved with the Wilcox family. At Evie Wilcox’s wedding, Henry’s past is thrust into the present.

Margaret resolves to uphold her engagement with Henry. Helen leaves for Europe, only agreeing to return when Aunt Juley falls ill. Henry suggests a plan to resolve the issue at Howards End.
