An arctic community battles a harsh polar freeze: Stephan and Allyce must save their aging boat as Pike Mike combats glacial winds. Newbies Kyle & Peyton race to build their home while Gary must save his daughter's barge from sinking.
2 Alone in the Wild

The lake transition from icy water to solid ice brings major decisions. A bigger home means isolation for Stephan & Allyce. Kyle & Peyton have no clue how to move their new barge. A lost visitor plunges Ragnar into the arctic tundra to save a life.
3 Far & Away

Stephan & Allyce's remote cabin makes their dog Dora a target for wolves. As subzero weather batters their makeshift tent, Kyle & Peyton improvise to stay warm. Pike Mike takes off-grid living to a new level & teaches Molly arctic survival skills.
4 Of Ice and Skins

Winter means no rest in the frozen north. Kyle & Peyton use native ways to cure meat & preserve a hide; Molly builds a water pump so she will not have to drill into 6-feet of ice; & Stephan & Allyce discover the water on their lake is contaminated.
5 Ice Lake Ingenuity

The lack of fish & a new neighbor threaten Pike Mike‘s food supply & peace of mind. Stephan helps Molly install a wind turbine during an ice storm; and Ragnar uses the harsh weather to locate and unearth arctic diamonds from a secret location.
6 Slipping and Sliding

Temperatures rise & the lake will soon melt into perilous ice flows. Stephan faces a dangerous trek as ice becomes slush. Kyle & Peyton seek shelter to save their boat from ruin & Pike Mike is injured in deep woods with no place to turn for help.
7 Breaking Up is Hard to Do

Great Slave Lake is a minefield of melting ice. A truck sinks into the lake; Stephan & Allyce cut their boat free & keep it from being crushed then face a pack of wolves. Kyle abandons a snow mobile & struggles to get home amidst the chaos.
8 Fire and Water
13.9.15.
The lake has thawed but conditions are still a threat. Pike Mike falls into perilously cold water & has minutes to be rescued. Kyle & Peyton find a bear near their home & reconsider houseboat living. Stephan causes a fire that may destroy everything.
9 Live Free and Thrive
20.9.15.
With spring's arrival, the house boaters reflect on six months' of harsh winter. Pike Mike tries to move back to Great Slave Lake. Stephan & Allyce explore the wilderness near their new home & Henry needs help to recover from major heart surgery.
