I for one enjoyed the opening season. I've always been a fan of Michael Rosenbaum, and I think he did well in this role. I don't normally write reviews or get into debates (especially religious ones), but here goes: Anyone who takes the time to bash a show simply because it has a religious tone and the directors/writers chose to "poke fun" at some of the elements of Christianity, is in my opinion very close minded. And with that, they would be the same people that 700 years ago would persecute those that challenged their faith. But, seeing as how this is now ILLEGAL, they choose to type out their anger. Furthermore, these are the same people that would choose conscientious bias over truth. My guess is that the people that bash this show under the above reasoning did not actually watch the entire season. As with any show, the characters grow and develop. Quite the contrary to many of the bad reviews(Andrew Hensley), the show is not in the least bit "insulting". It does nothing more that state that as humans, we are all fallible. Everyone has their flaws, and we are all capable (not to mention destined) to stray from our faith. Otherwise, we wouldn't need a guide book.
