About this show

Life after a zombie apocalypse is tough, especially for the zombies. After an event known as 'The Rising', where everybody who died in the year 2015 has risen from the dead, an inevitable Zombie war breaks out as the human race battles to rid the planet of brain eating Zombies. When the war is eventually won by the living with heavy losses on both sides, the remaining undead are herded up and put in a holding center where Norfolk, now ravaged and destroyed by the war, used to be. Scientists discover a chemical compound which subdues the Zombie craving for brains and the government subsequently decides to release these Partially Deceased Syndrome (PDS) sufferers back into the community they had recently tried to destroy. Here is where the story begins as we follow Keiren Walker, a young PDS sufferer, as he is returned back to his parents in the sleepy Lancashire village of Yealand. His attempts to reintegrate back into society are the catalyst and window to a 'them and us society' with radicals on both sides, both with their own agendas and incitements for war.

I'm not really a zombie movie fan, but the subtext here really sells it. The setting is in the aftermath of the zombie rising; so the conflict is really with people trying to get their lives back to normal rather than against the zombies directly. I very much enjoyed this series and recommend it. I could go on and on, but I don't want to spoil anything for you so just go watch it yourself.

I was very hesitant to give any zombie show a try after watching something as great as Walking Dead but I was pleasantly surprised with this series. You go into the minds of zombies who struggle knowing that they're not completely infected..some go through guilt...it's quite interesting. Give it a shot you won't regret it... When the hell are they going to come out with episode 4...?

Great plot, great acting and just enjoyable to watch. Looking forward to the full season. *update* Just finished the 2nd season. Im very disapointed. Too many characters seemingly change personna and attitudes in a blink of an eye. I wish they had stuck to the original character development. Instead i was treated to an entirely different show with the same characters.
