As Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) investigates the Crowe crime family's role in the disappearance of a corrupt Florida Coast Guard officer, Boyd (Walton Goggins) revives a failed drug deal to help keep Ava's (Joelle Carter) murder case from going to trial.

As Boyd's (Walton Goggins) plan to keep Ava (Joelle Carter) from being tried threatens to unravel, an unexpected reunion with Loretta McCready (Kaitlin Dever) pits Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) against two hit men working for a ruthless Memphis drug lord.

As overseeing an asset forfeiture leads Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) to discover a crime boss' hidden treasure, Boyd (Walton Goggins) continues his efforts to try to clear Ava (Joelle Carter) of a murder charge. Dewey's (Damon Harriman) cousins arrive from Florida to take over the brothel he bought from Boyd.

The search for a missing government informant pits Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) against both the Crowder and Crowe clans, while a standoff with Cousin Johnny (David Meunier) reveals a powerful rival to Boyd's (Walton Goggins) drug business. An investigation into in the death of mob boss Nicky Augustine threatens to implicate Raylan.

While working to undermine the murder charges against Ava (Joelle Carter), Boyd (Walton Goggins) reaches out for new partners. Art (Nick Searcy) steps up his investigation of the Tonin crime family.

As Art's (Nick Searcy) frustration with Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) boils over, the Crowe family battles both the U.S. Marshals and the Crowders to stay in Harlan.
